Course Title:   Learn English on Safari!

Why go on a “Travelling Classroom” programme?

    * Learning English on Safari with us enables you to see much more of South Africa than would be possible on any other 1-week English programme
    * You speak English for up to 16 hours a day
    * A trainer is with you all the time to encourage you to talk, correct any mistakes in grammar or pronunciation – and give you new, useful vocabulary
    * You use a lot of the language you learn immediately, in a “real-life” environment
    * You read and write about and discuss the places we visit, the animals we see and some of the people we meet, so you develop your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills
    * Brochures, guide books, the safari guides and guest house owners all give you valuable information – all in English!
    * You have so much fun while you learn, that it doesn’t feel like hard work!

Travel along the famous Garden Route to Addo Elephant Park near Port Elizabeth. Spend time with the elephants – we sometimes see up to 130 at once – including calves 2 weeks old!

Get close to the lions on a night-drive at Schotia Lion Reserve – you might be lucky and see them hunting or making a kill – and you’ll hear them roaring from your lodge at night!

Other highlights include

    * seeing whales and dolphins on a boat trip in Plettenberg Bay
    * early-morning walks with safari guides at Schotia and Buffalo Hills – learn about the smaller animals, plants and their medicinal uses
    * walking through the beautiful Tsitsikamma National Park to Storm’s River
    * enjoying a sunset cruise and buffet dinner on a paddle boat on the Knysna Lagoon
    * watching buffalo, giraffe, rhino, zebra, antelope, ostrich and crocodiles
    * relaxing on a beach – or perhaps having a swim in the (relatively!) warm Indian Ocean

Optional activities include

    * doing the highest commercial bungy jump in the world – only for the brave!!
    * swinging through the forest 30 metres above the ground on the Canopy Tour
    * canoeing in Knysna and Wilderness

This programme is unique – only offered by inlingua Cape Town – and something our clients have been enjoying for years.

Comments from students who have been on the trip

“The Garden Route: Elephants – lions – mountains – beaches’
There are about 60,000 muscles in an elephant’s trunk, the ostrich is the second fastest animal on earth and its egg is the equivalent of 26 chicken eggs!
All this and much more we discovered on our trip along the Garden Route. The purpose of the trip was, besides having fun, to experience, surely, one of the most stunning and breath-taking areas of South Africa and of course to extend our vocabulary and fluency in spoken English. “

Eva – Czech Republic and Hitsch – Switzerland

“…The trip was excellent. I heard a lot about the life in South Africa and about the connections between the environment, people and animals.
All guest houses were high quality, calm and clean with always good food. We were a little group and we chatted continually. The speaking all the time and all together was the best opportunity to improve our English language.
We had a top driver and trainer. Thank you inlingua, I will never forget this amazing English on Safari trip.”

Ruedi – Switzerland

“The highlight was safari. We always saw animals. Lions and elephants! I couldn’t speak a lot but I could hear a lot! I remember the shining sky in the night and the beautiful landscape.”

Sakura – Japan
