Course Title:   Handle & Use a Manually Operated Rifle

The Handle & Use-course is an entry-level course specifically for persons with no or very little knowledge of firearms.

Course Contents: Legal Aspects, Safety, Parts & Functions, Fundamentals of Shooting, Loading & Unloading, Ammunition, Maintenance & Malfunctions, a Practical Evaluation, a Theoretical Exam and a Qualification Shoot.

Course Duration: About 20 hours (Theory: 12 hrs, Practical: 8 hrs) The course normally runs on a Friday-evening, Saturday-day (Practical) & Tuesday-evening (one course). Before attending the classes the learner need to work through the training manual and complete the open book exam in the manual.

Equipment: All equipment necessary will be provided, including training manuals, firearms, ammunition, eye- & ear protection, targets, patches, range fees, etc. It is advisable that students who already own a handgun, make use of their own firearm.
