Course Title:   Module 6: Veterinary Module Equine Shiatsu

All students need to have completed Modules 2, 3 4  at the Academy of Shiatsu before doing this Module We introduce you to the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine which is a pre-requisite before this course – more information can be obtained by contacting us.
This course is run privately by Lizette who will offer courses if there are sufficient students

Practical and Theory 120 hours case studies 60 hours
Equine Anatomy and Physiology 60 hours

This Module expands the abilities of the Shiatsu Practitioner to Practice Equine Shiatsu

Includes:

·         Meridians: locate and review point and pressure techniques on horses
·         Diagnostic methods: motion. Posture, pulse, face, tongue, coat, muscle and personality
·         Practical treatment: Stretch alignment, acupressure, additional massage and energy balance techniques
·         Environment of the horse: rider, owner, horse’s tack, stable, paddock, friends, work, weather, nutrition,
·         Equine Anatomy, physiology and disease, body systems, skeletal, spine, structure of the foot, muscles etc
·         The aim of the Equine practitioner is to help horse function at their optimal physical ability by balancing body energy; this assures great comfort, mental and physical health of the horse and positive integration with work and surroundings
