Balance: The fact that many riders can stay on (in incredible circumstance) does not mean that they ride the horse “IN Balance”. Balance is like pregnancy. You are either pregnant or you are not!
Be Balanced, not clinging or gripping on. (a Good idea at times however!)
Co-ordination:
No two people should try to ride the same way. No two spines are made the same way. Every person co-ordinates differently. Learn to balance in your own unique way.It depends on the ratios of length of thigh, lower leg, body and arms.More than forty years of teaching, has shown me every conceivable co-ordination/balancing problem that a human can have. So solving your difficulty is not a hit and miss affair. It has become an exact science. I am horrified at some of the things I taught as a young teacher.
Rhythm:
The ability to “feel” rhythm requires “exact timing”. Exact timing is near impossible without co-ordination & balance. Tact: From the word “tactile.” To touch lightly. Implying manners and consideration. To “feel” and have a “sensation”. Leading to sensualness. With cuddling and caressing, our bidding (Telling) we do the horse make.
Anticipation:
Knowing what the horse is going to do before he does it. This art is based simply on first knowing what you precisely want to do. It’s as simple as that! Simple! But NOT easy! Because it is based on the horse “knowing” (in its mind), what’s on your mind? Then you, reading his mind, should recognize whether or not he is going to instruct his legs to comply, evade or misunderstand your request. Dancing with your horse requires an understanding of his body language, AND your own. We can improve your body language for him to read you better.
Emotional Control:
Mind what you think about when riding. Every aspect of us humans is infectious. Our state of mind is controlled by four different BRAIN RHYTHMS. Beta, Alpha, Theta & Delta.
The FREE FORM METHOD teaches control of these “gears of the mind” for the horse to be better able to “Read your mind.”
Goal setting:
Requires the art of immediate and continuous goal setting. There is more to this than meets the eye. So ask me about this.
Dedication doesn’t mean years and years of struggle. It means wanting to do it in a quicker, kinder, safer, better way. The Free Form Way!
