The Junior Bookkeeper to Trail Balance module covers the following outcomes:

* Understand and apply the accounting equation to different accounting transactions
* Understand and apply the principles of double-entry to different accounting transactions
 * Record cash and credit transactions
* Calculate and record VAT in accordance with legislation
* Record transactions in accordance with the periodic and perpetual methods of inventory control
* Record transactions in the general journal
* Post subsidiary journals to a general ledger and balance the general ledger
* Extract a trial balance
* Reconcile to debtors and creditors control accounts
* Compile a bank reconciliation
* Compile a creditor’s reconciliation Instructability offers
