Purpose of the programme

This course empowers delegates to understand HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Infections and Tuberculosis. Prevention and early detection as well as treatment options such as Antiretroviral Therapy are discussed.

This course is particularly useful to persons in managerial or leadership positions who may have to deal with lifestyle related chronic illnesses during their interaction with people in various contexts.

116999 – Apply accurate information about HIV/AIDS to everyday life
14656 – Demonstrate an understanding of sexuality and sexually transmitted infections including HIV/AIDS
117017 – Provide information about tuberculosis and directly observed treatments (DOTS)
119561 – Support clients who are receiving  ART
