What is Business Speak?

Business Speak is a unique English language enhancement programme designed specifically for company executives.

The programme focuses on improving the verbal communication skills of executives who are non-mothertongue speakers of English. It is rooted in the acquisition of written business skills and complemented by a training component in non-verbal communication skills.

Success is maximised in that due consideration is given to the high profile and busy schedule of company executives. The coaching is therefore offered in the comfort of the executive’s immediate working surroundings – the company office, the boardroom, the coffee bar and restaurant down the road.

The intensive nature of the training implies that only a small group of executives can be enrolled per workshop. Executives can also choose to be coached individually.

While a core course consists of four days of intensive and entertaining interactive sessions, followed by weekly reinforcement sessions, every programme is scheduled around the needs of the individual company executive.

Core components of the language coaching programme include:

    * assessment of skills and needs
    * business writing training
    * communication skills training, focusing on non-verbal executive presentation skills
    * corrective language structure input
    * corrective pronunciation input
    * implementation of acquired skills
    * focus on business register and idiomatic usage
    * audio-visual assessment of results
    * weekly follow-up sessions as required
