You train PPG in from scratch, without going through the full paragliding course first. This will be to issue you with a dedicated PPG license, without the underlying paragliding license, so is targeted at those interested only in flying Powered Paragliders and not un-powered at all.
This is commonly done all over the world, but due to historical problems in SA we originally went the PG then PPG route, but now offer both options. The advantages to you, is quicker training to PPG Pilot level.
You will need your own paramotor/para-trike and your own wing.
You must also have your own airband radio and headset.
You need to complete a Restricted Aircraft Radio License, either during or before starting the PPG course.
You are required to utilise your own equipment for the duration of the course. The necessary items are; glider, motor, helmet/headset and radio. Make your booking now.
