Course Title:   The Commercial Pilots License (CPL)

Possession of this license allows the private pilot to move on into the commercial flying sector, and be able to transport passengers and/or cargo, or undertake technical flying (e.g. surveying or aerial photography) in return for monetary reward.

The Prospective students must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be in possession of a valid PPL.
• Obtain a General Radio operators license (Course provided).
• Obtain a Commercial Pilots medical certificate.
• Pass the CAA prescribed theoretical examinations (8, as for the Instrument Rating course plus an additional 2).
• Have accumulated 200 hours total flying time, of which 100 hours must have been as pilot-in-command (PIC), with 20 of these hours on cross-country, 10 hours as PIC at night and 20 hours under IF conditions).
• Pass a practical flight test with CAA examiner.
• Obtain a letter of recommendation from a grade I or II Instructor.
