Course Title:   GCX Certified Introduction to Forestry Carbon Projects Course

This 1 day course gives attendees a thorough overview of the background and present state of forestry and agricultural carbon markets. Learners will be given an introduction to the carbon markets in general as well as specific knowledge around these markets. Learners will then explore the various forestry standards and the key concepts important to understanding the markets. The course will allow learners to identify the viability of forestry carbon projects as well as giving them a clear understanding on the process and steps required to successfully develop a forestry carbon project. Carbon trading will also be examined including the financing of forestry and agricultural projects. On completion, learners will leave with an understanding of the forestry and agricultural carbon markets and the standards to which projects must conform as well as the registration process required.
