New Age Therapies
February 5, 2010 in .Promotions and Specials, Health and Wellness | No comments
Reiki training is a very intense and personal experience. This is why it is best to meet your Reiki Master first, and see how you feel about them. In addition, Reiki training can be very deep and transformational.
If you have already trained in Reiki as an energy healing modality, you need to continue with your self-development, discovery and growth. Reiki is not about reading books or listening to seminars. It is about experiencing and developing.
With this in mind, we now have a regular monthly Reiki and Healing Share in Cape Town CBD on a weekday evening. All are welcome, whether this is the first time you hear of Reiki or if you are an experienced Reiki Master. Payment is a modest donation of what you can afford (usually R50-100), and you enjoy an evening of discovery and growth. This way you will get to know us better, develop your skills, or just enjoy the evening and have fun.

We look forward to seeing you there! - The Wedding Expo Team A little History The Wedding Expo which is owned by Amanda Cunningham was started in May 2002 with the very first show at the Sandton Convention Centre attracting 77 exhibitors and 3200 visitors. The event moved to The Dome in Northgate Johannesburg in 2004 and in 2005 the show saw the introduction of a second The Wedding Expo in the second half of the year. The Wedding Expo now attracts over 250 exhibitors to each show and over 12 000 visitors; the key attraction remains the fashion shows which are now held 4 times per day by popular demand. This has allowed The Wedding Expo to show its support of local designers by drawing a distinction between bespoke gowns and ready to wear imported gowns. The Wedding Expo strives to bring value to both the exhibitor and the visitor by remaining creative with the attractions at the show and with the extensive marketing communications campaign run for each show. Evidence of this is the Bridal workshops were introduced into The Wedding Expo in April 2009 and the ‘Win a R200 000 Wedding’ in partnership with Independent Newspapers introduced in September 2009. February 2010 saw the introduction of a third show, this time in Cape Town as host of the Wedding Pavilion within the Women’s Show which is held once a year in Cape Town and Johannesburg. eThekwini Municipality’s commitment to the development and support of small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) in the region, has seen it host the Small Business Fair for the past ten years. This, the eleventh year, is expected to surpass all expectations as the city prepares to host the 2010 Fifa Soccer World Cup. What essentially started as an art and craft fair in 1998 has grown by leaps and bounds to encompass all sectors of industry, be it art and craft, manufacturing, services, ICT or construction. It has built a reputation of being the region’s leading small business event, with more than 450 exhibitors participating in last years fair. Hundreds of entrepreneurs, emerging and established, participate in the SMME Fair that is organized solely to give small businesses a much-needed boost and an opportunity to access markets, network and learn and do business - all under one roof. This year we will host one main SMME Fair at the Durban Exhibition Centre from 3-5 September, giving SMME's much exposure to local and national markets. The SMME Fair is just one of the various planned programmes hosted by the Business Support Unit to ensure that SMMEs remain an active part of the city’s economy. The city’s vision is to create an enabling environment for SMMEs to develop, grow and become future job creators. OBJECTIVES * To showcase high quality goods and services produced by SMME’s in the eThekwini Region: * To facilitate business linkages between small businesses and big business * To facilitate networking sessions between local small businesses and businesses from sister cities like Leeds and New Orleans * To build common understanding on issues affecting businesses operations, eg. Access to finance, financial management, information about government tender processes, through workshops, etc; * To inform SMME’s on strategies, developments, agencies, structures and programmes that exists for their support * To showcase eThekwini Municipal Departments and the opportunities available to SMME’s within the municipality * To provide networking opportunities between SMME’s and national, provincial and local support agencies and structures. INSTITUTIONAL PARTICIPATION Key role players include eThekwini Municipality, Provincial Department of Finance and Economic Development, the Department of Trade and Industry, Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA-eThekwini), Durban Trade Point, and the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
