DERMATECH strives to provide their student with the best training and preparation required for National and International qualification in the Health and Skincare industry. The Dermatech training institute has a private hostel located in Bloubergstrand. The hostel offers accommodation for a number of its students and is situated within walking distance from the beach and five minute’s drive from the training institute. Rooms are equipped for two students sharing. Each room has its own bathroom.
Enrollment a limited every year, thus ensuring that there are no more than 8 working therapists per lecturer in a practical class, guaranteeing effective and successful training.
If you would like more information, we recommend calling the institute to arrange an interview. They start their selection process as early as possible, in order to provide parents and students with early feedback. This in turn leaves ample time for alternate arrangements for studies, if necessary.
Dr L van Niekerk – Founder and CEO.
Studied at Stellenbosch BchD. Dr van Niekerk opened, successfully built up and sold dental surgeries in the United Kingdom and South Africa. He now owns a dental practice in Parklands, Cape Town. He is also the owner of two guesthouses in Blouberstrand which are rented out to the full-time students at Dermatech. Dr van Niekerk is the CEO of Serengeti Exodus which is a tourism company in Tanzania.
Ms E Jansen van Rensburg – Principal
Studied at Technikon Free State N.Dip. Somatology, CIDESCO. Ms Jansen van Rensburg is also an accredited assessor and moderator. She has 11 years experience in the industry.
Mrs V Thompson – Vice- Principal
Studied at Isa Carstens CIDESCO, CIBTAC, AAD, SAAHSP. Mrs Thompson is also an accredited assessor and has 10 years experience in the industry.
